Argentina 1 - Australia 0

10/08/2008: The Olyroos battled for 76 minutes to hold the might of Argentina but a well worked move between three Argentines allowed Ezequiel Lavezzi to score under Adam Federici's outstretched arm. A better display, particularly in the first half, but the two rare chances made were squandered and the Olyroos appear out of contention now. Chandini Feroz Khan reports for BOTN .. [ Report ...]

Wellington 0(7) - Melbourne 0(8)

The Victory won 8 penalties to 7, in front of a bumper crowd of 9,208 tonight at Wellington's Cake-tin. The FFA has done something right, if unwittingly, having a pre-season Final played mid-week - something that many observers queried - yet which drew a more than healthy crowd across the Tasman.
