The exciting Continental Tyres Cup is back this year, having been won by Sydney Crescent Star in the inaugural year in 2004. The 2005 Continental Tyres Cup was drawn at Rydges Hotel, Rosehill on Wednesday the 2nd of February, 2005. This years competition will see 66 teams from the NSW Premier, Winter Super League & State League Divisions 1, 2, & 3 along with the Finalists from the 2004 Champion of Champions, representatives from the Illawarra Football Association (Premiers & Champions) and Association-based clubs. This is a great opportunity for all clubs to test their ability against higher Division clubs and to compete for substantial prize money, generously sponsored by Continental Tyres & Soccer NSW.

It is a shame that most of the 'minnows' are out of the Cup now but the field is down to on Semi-Finalists on Wed 4 May 2005 were:

St George Saints 1 vs Blue Devils 3

So the finalists Blue Devils met on Saturday 21 May, 2005, at Parramatta Stadium and Sydney United won 3-1.
